We recommend starting at 18 months as soon as they're walking steadily. The 4 wheels make it stable enough that earlier is fine too. Most kids use it actively until age 4, when they transition to a pedal bike (usually without training wheels, which is a very nice bonus).

Yes, this was designed specifically with indoor parents in mind. The wheels are smooth, soft, and completely non-marking. We've tested on hardwood, tile, and carpet.

5 minutes. One piece to attach. No tools needed. If you can open a box and follow a diagram with 3 steps, you're done. We've had parents tell us it was assembled before their child stopped asking "is it ready yet?"
